Kisspeptin-10
Early humanKISS1-derived neuropeptide; kisspeptin receptor (KISS1R / GPR54) agonist · Also known as KP-10, kisspeptin-112-121, metastin fragment, KISS1-derived peptide
Overview
Kisspeptin-10 is the 10-amino-acid C-terminal fragment of kisspeptin, a KISS1-gene-derived neuropeptide that activates the kisspeptin receptor (KISS1R, formerly GPR54) on GnRH neurons. By stimulating GnRH release, it triggers downstream secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), making it a key upstream regulator of the reproductive axis. Kisspeptin is an active area of human research — controlled studies (mostly using kisspeptin-54, with kisspeptin-10 used in some protocols) have probed its effects on reproductive hormones, fertility-related signaling, and, more recently, sexual/brain responses in people with low sexual desire. No kisspeptin product is FDA-approved, and most human work is early-phase or investigational. Marketed claims beyond these research contexts should be treated as unproven.
Commonly Reported Uses
These are uses commonly discussed or marketed by users and vendors — not a list of proven or approved benefits, and not a recommendation.
- Stimulating LH/FSH and the reproductive axis (research/diagnostic context; not an approved therapy)
- Investigational support for low sexual desire / arousal (early human studies, mostly kisspeptin-54; not approved)
- Fertility and hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal research applications (investigational)
What to Track
Data points you and your clinician might monitor. For observation only — not a diagnostic protocol.
- Labs — LH and FSH (the most direct, mechanistically expected response to kisspeptin)
- Labs — testosterone (men) or estradiol (women) as downstream sex-steroid readouts if a clinician is monitoring
- Subjective — daily check-ins on libido/arousal and mood (the focus of recent sexual-desire studies)
- Subjective — tolerability (kisspeptin has generally been well tolerated in trials, but watch for any injection-site or systemic effects)

Safety & legal notes
NOT FDA-approved for any indication; available only as a research chemical and used in clinical research under investigational protocols. Kisspeptin (mainly kisspeptin-54) has been generally well tolerated in early human studies, including reproductive and sexual-desire research, but efficacy for any marketed use is unproven and long-term safety is not established. Not a standard sport-doping target therapeutic, but because it manipulates the reproductive/hormonal axis, athletes should verify current rules with their governing body. Consult a licensed clinician.
